Sofia Menar Filmfest to display Iran ‘Lantouri’ in Bulgaria

Iranian movie ‘Lantouri’ is slated to contend for awards at the ninth edition of Sofia Menar Filmfest in Bulgaria.

Directed by Reza Dormishian, the movie narrates the story of a young man who falls in love with a young woman and a thwarted passion causes trouble for the girl.

Navid Mohammadzadeh, Maryam Palizban, Baran Kosari, Mehdi Kooshki, Behrang Alavi and Bahram Afshari starred in ‘Lanturi’.

Sofia MENAR Film Festival makes Bulgarian audience familiar with the culture and traditions of the Islamic world, the website of the festival wrote.

The program of Sofia MENAR Film Festival presents the best of Middle East and North Africa cinema productions, including feature films, documentaries and short projects.

The event is to be launched on January 12 – 29, 2017 in Bulgaria.
